What NOA can do – and what it cannot
- NOA is a portable alarm and communication device with an app service. At the press of a button, the NOA Mini notifies the trusted contacts you have specified and – if switched on – a private 24/7 emergency call centre. This also happens in the case of certain automatically detected events: a detected fall event, leaving or entering a safety zone, prolonged immobility of the device. The NOA Mini transmits the device location and enables a conversation via the device.
- The NOA Watch is an emergency call watch with an SOS button and GPS. We will publish the range of functions and technical data at the start of sales.
- The NOA device cannot place an emergency call to 112. In a life-threatening situation, dial 112 yourself if possible.
- NOA is not intended to detect, monitor, prevent, treat or compensate for diseases, injuries or disabilities. It does not measure any bodily functions. NOA does not replace the emergency number 112, nor does it replace medical, nursing or ambulance services.
- No alarm can be transmitted without a charged battery or without mobile network reception.
- Automatic fall detection is only available on the NOA Mini. It does not detect every fall and can trigger false alarms.
- If a trusted contact’s voicemail picks up, the call counts as answered and the call chain ends. Ask your trusted contacts to switch off their voicemail for calls from NOA.
- The 24/7 emergency call centre is available for the NOA Mini. It is only called if the emergency call service is switched on for the device and nobody from your circle answers beforehand. The first takeover in a calendar month is included in the plan; every further takeover is subject to a charge.
- At present, no degree of protection against water has been verified – protect the device from moisture.
- Please obtain the consent of the person wearing the device in advance.
Alarm even without a button press – in certain situations (NOA Mini).
With the NOA Mini, three alarms can trigger automatically in addition to the emergency button. The NOA Watch does not have these alarms.
Fall detection (NOA Mini)
If the NOA Mini detects a hard fall, it automatically alerts your trusted contacts – even if the emergency button can no longer be pressed. Not every fall is detected, for example slowly sinking to the floor or falls onto soft ground.
Safety zone (NOA Mini)
The reference person defines a familiar area – for example the house and garden. If the device leaves or enters this area, a notification is sent automatically to the stored contacts. Please obtain the consent of the person wearing the device in advance.
Inactivity check (NOA Mini)
If the device does not move at all for an unusually long time, NOA triggers an alarm automatically. What is measured is the movement of the device, not the condition of the person.
The 24/7 emergency call center
In an emergency, NOA first alerts your personal trusted contacts – that remains the heart of it. With the NOA Mini, the 24/7 emergency call centre is the last link in the call chain – provided you have switched on the emergency call service for the device.
1 · Alarm is triggered
Whether the emergency button or – on the NOA Mini – fall detection, safety zone or inactivity check: NOA starts the alert.
2 · Your trusted contacts first
NOA first notifies your stored contacts – by message and, on the NOA Mini, by call in the order you define.
3 · If nobody answers
If nobody in the NOA Mini’s call chain answers, NOA calls the 24/7 emergency call centre as the last link – provided the emergency call service is switched on for the device. The centre sees the alarm, the location and your stored notes from the moment it is triggered.
4 · The emergency call center takes over
If the emergency call service is switched on for the NOA Mini, staff at the 24/7 emergency call centre take the call, talk to the wearer and arrange help if needed.
Transparent terms
The 24/7 emergency call centre is available for the NOA Mini. It is only called if the emergency call service is switched on for the device and nobody from your circle answers beforehand. The first takeover in a calendar month is included in the plan; every further takeover is subject to a charge. You switch on the emergency call service per device in the app and agree to the costs when you do. No monthly surcharge, no add-on booking needed. The emergency call service is not available for the NOA Watch.

The 24/7 emergency call centre is an additional layer of security – your trusted contacts remain the first route. It is on standby for every NOA Mini in case no one in your circle can be reached in time.

Best signal automatically
In emergencies, NOA picks the strongest signal at the current location — not the cheapest.
